Ombré Nails

I very seldom find nail designs that I feel I would actually wear.  I don't like too much on my hands because I use them to work a lot, and find that simplicity is best for me.  However sometimes I feel a little left behind because nail design is making a big comeback; it seems that everywhere I look there is a large focus on intricate nails.  I figured it was time to try something out.

When I first noticed ombré nails, the ombré effect was usually focused on each nail - I found this too busy looking for me.  Then I saw a photo of an ombre effect with a different colour on each nail, with a fade from a lighter hue to a darker one, yet all of the colours were in the same tone.  This was intriguing to me because I didn't think that it looked too busy on the hands, yet there was still that element of trendy nail design that I was after.  I already had a set of red/purple nail colours, so I decided to try it out!
