Beauty subscription companies seem to be very popular on the web. They have always peaked my curiosity, and I have wondered what the quality of the product and the service is like. I noticed that the company Julep had an offer where you could receive a free box, so I jumped at the chance to try it out.
I received the polish colours: "Myrtle", which is a classic red colour, and "Zora" which is a light champagne colour with a pearl iridescence. I was impressed at the quality of the product packaging. The hand scrub tube seems to be made of a good quality plastic, the polish bottles feel like glass, and the freebie nail file is even sturdy.
Overall, I don't think it is in my price range to have a subscription like this. Leaving the freebies out of consideration, each nail polish is a little over $10 a bottle! Even if the quality of polish is superior, this is still expensive in comparison with OPI nail polish (my personal favorite). Although it was fun to try out, I don't think I will keep the subscription. If you are someone that enjoys getting two or more nail polishes monthly to correspond with trending colours, then this may be a good service for you.
